The organizing team for the "FOOD" network includes a rich mix of local restaurants, growers, food sources, businesses, organizations and individual. All are located in, and have a deep concern for the safety and well being of, the communities of the Sonoma Valley. They include:
Restaurants and cafes which have the facilities in place, and the talented chefs and personnel available to prepare and serve food in an emergency, Most restaurants are located in the more urbanized areas of the Sonoma Valley.
Food trucks which serve the more outlying areas of the Valley, and are capable of mobile delivery and production of food in an emergency,
Growers who have are in-place sources of fresh raw ingredients,
Stores and Businesses which have in stock the canned and packaged food, equipment, hardware and first aid materials likely to be required in an emergency.
Transportation companies (bus and taxi companies, auto dealers, etc) which can transfer emergency food supplies from the source points in the community to the points of food preparation and deliver food to people unable to make the journey to the food centers themselves,
Individuals & Volunteers with the foresight and energy to commit to preparing for a future disaster and responding quickly and efficiently in a leadership role when a disaster occurs.
A list of the people and organizations who have helped to organize the FOOD network, or have indicated a willingness to participate, is included in Attachment A at the end of this document.
